LAGUEUX LEFEBVRE, Rita

At the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu in Sherbrooke, on September 12, 2021, at the age of 97 years and 5 months, passed away Mrs. Rita Lagueux, wife of the late Alcide Lefebvre, residing at the Manoir de Chez-Nous in Compton.

Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral home in Stanstead, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, J0B 3E0, on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on the day of the funeral from 9 a.m. until departure from the Funeral Home at 10:45 a.m.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Sacré-Cœur Church in Stanstead.

Mrs. Lagueux is survived by her children: Réjean (Françoise Dionne) (late Monique Charron), Diane (Denis Charron), Ghislaine (Denis Filion) and Guy (Lucie Roberge); her 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-granddaughters as well as her sister-in-law Rita Veilleux Lefebvre. Also, several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank the palliative care staff at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu and the Manoir de Chez-Nous for the wonderful care provided to Mrs. Lagueux.

Mes sympathies à toute la famille. Mon père, Norbert, aimait beaucoup sa tante Rita. Il était très peiné de ne plus pouvoir la visiter parce que lui-même était malade. Je me rappelle les visites chez «mon oncle Alcide» quand j'étais toute petite. Ils sont partis presqu’en même temps. Il parait que le temps adoucie la peine...
