We're very sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs MacIver. My parents , Doug & Mabel Mackay were great friends of hers. Dad called her Mrs Maceevers. My husband called she & Alice Price " The White Nuns" because of the long white dresses in the Eastern Star. She was a wonderful, lovely lady & will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of Jean's passing. My mom ( Betty Foryth) and Uncle Doug ( MacKenzie) spoke often of her and it was so nice to meet her and the family at Hazel's 90th birthday party at Kevins.
Sad to hear the news that your Mom had passed away. Jean was such a lovely, genteel lady and a wonderful friend to our Mom. How they loved to speak the Gaelic and share a cup of tea! She will be missed.

We will miss Jean greatly at church a great friend of my mom as they called each other twins only two months between their births as we lost mom in 2020 as well, our deepest sympathies !!
I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Jean's passing -- I first met her in 1976 while her parents were living in Scotstown. What happy memories, of their kindness, and their welcome every time I visited. I will always remember when Jean's mother and father were in the Nursing Home in Sherbrooke , Jean was the epitome of devotion and grace, a very special daughter to them, and a wonderful friend to all who knew her. Jean was also the last of her generation whose mother-tongue was Gaelic – she soon became fluent in English and French, though would speak Gaelic to her parents and also with her husband Alex. She had a wonderful sense of humour and fun, as well as such kind and caring ways. She will be much missed.
My sincere condolences to Jean's family – may all your cherished memories always be with you.
