PYNE (NÉE JEAN-MARIE), Jacqueline

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Pyne (nee Jean-Marie) at the CHSLD-East Angus on May 8, 2021.  She was 96 years old.  Jacqueline was predeceased by her beloved husband Geoffrey Pyne and her parents Rene Jean-Marie and Blanche Jean-Marie (nee Duteau).

A loving mother, she is survived by her sons:  Daniel (Tammy), Michael (Patricia) and Scott (Helen) and her grandchildren Derek, Katrina, Geoffrey and Kevin.  Jacqueline was the ‘little' sister to the late; Gisele, Rachelle, Roger, Marcelle, Lucienne, Claire, Gaston and sister-in-law to the late; Rupert and Phoebe.  She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jacqueline so very much loved her brothers and sisters, her children and grandchildren.  Over the years she had enjoyed golf, winters in Florida, ceramics, the Montreal Canadians, fall leaves in the townships, listening to her grand children talk of their lives, car rides and Coaticook Ice Cream (maple).

The family thanks the staff of CHSLD-East Angus for all their caring, capabilities, kindness and compassion.  At the end - they were simply wonderful.

The family in particular, thanks her outstanding nephew Pierre Jean-Marie and his partner Naisi LeBaron who took it on themselves to 'always be there’ over the years, with frequent visits, accompanying on doctors visits, answering emergency calls and of course spoiling her with treats.  With her children living far away their support was immensely appreciated.  Thank you so - so much.  

By way of sympathy, for those desiring, memorial donations to the CHSLD-East Angus would be appreciated.

A memorial will be held at a later date when family and friends can gather safely.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Cass Funeral Homes

La famille et les ami(e)s de Jacqueline

While I did not know Jacqueline personally, I felt as if I did through Pierre and Naisi who spoke of her so fondly to me on many occasions. I know they will both miss her terribly. My sincerest condolences to all.

Avec le départ de tante Jacqueline, s'éteint la famille de René et Blanche Jean-Marie. Nous sommes persuadés que les retrouvailles là-haut de tout ce beau monde ont été des plus réjouissantes. Nous nous souviendrons longtemps du rire de tante Jacqueline et de sa belle voix lorsqu'elle chantait dans les grandes réunions familiales.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Je vous envoie tous mes sincères condoléances. Aunt Jackie was a wonderful spirit. Our visits together were always full of laughs. Mrs Pyne's entire family

What to say about such a wonderful woman. She used to order a big order of my fruitcakes every year and send them all over the globe. Hawaii, Alaska.... She took great pride in telling me stories of her children and grandchildren when I delived them to her at her home in Sherbrooke, behind the Carrefour. I LOVED this woman and I just learned of her passing while looking for someone else in the obituaries and feel so bad.

Heaven has gained a wonderful angel and might I add, a very talkative one too! She will tell them all about her husband as a custom's officer and her children and grandchildren of whom she was so proud and she may even tell them about some pretty amazing fruitcakes!

RIP my dear lady, you have earned your wings.
