" Ps 73:6 Surrounded by his loving family, Gordon completed his journey home to be with his Lord and Saviour, on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007, at the CHUS, Sherbrooke, Quebec. Dearly beloved and devoted husband of fifty-one years to Charlotte Wells. Cherished father of David (Lyn), Don (Nancy) and Sharon (Doug). Treasured Grandpa of Joshua, Kristen, and Lukas; Jason, Mark and Jared; Skyler, Megan and Courtney. Predeceased by his parents Herman and Dora (Lindhorst). Special brother to Fred and his wife Jean; Albert and his wife Kay; Karl, Trudy and her late husband Gordon and Elizabeth and her late husband Albert. Also predeceased by his sister Erna and her husband Harold; his sister Agnes and her husband Joe; and his brother Arnold. Gordon will also be missed by his close relatives Mary and Wendell; David and Anita and Charles and Vivian as well as many nieces, nephews and friends who were genuinely touched by his life. Gordon was born in Hespeler, Ontario, the fith of ten children. Throughout his life his passions were faith, his family and his friends. Gordon, a veteran of the Canadian Armed forces as well as a member of the Gideon's for more than twenty years, was actively involved in youth outreach, and service to his community. Friends will be received by family from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm on Friday, October 12th, at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College Street, Sherbrooke (formerly Lennoxville), Tel: (819) 564-1750 / www.casshomes.ca. A celebration of his life will be conducted at the Huntingville Community Church, Saturday, October 13th at 1:30pm. John Klinck officiating. Interment at the Huntingville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Gideon's or Parkside Ranch.
