1932 - 2019

 

Peacefully, at Georgetown Hospital on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the age of 86. George joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served from 1952-1955 as a Leading Aircraftman. A long career followed in the automobile business in Hamilton, Brampton and Orangeville. George was a lover of Antiques and Collectibles earning his Auctioneer Licence and was a regular at many of the local auctions through the years. George is lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Rose (McBean) and is survived by his three children Brenda Pearce and her husband Mike, Steven Suitor, Scott Suitor and his wife Carolyn (Klaassen). Papa was loved by his five grandchildren Gregory and Adrian Albert, Megan, Jesse and Hannah Suitor and will always be remembered for his stories and his gentle manner with them. He cherished his family and was very proud of them all. George is survived by his brother Alan Suitor and his wife Bernice, his sister-in-law Evelyn Suitor, his brother-in-law Bill McBean and his wife Darlene and his sister-in-law Judy McBean and Mariette McBean. Uncle George will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
George will be welcomed in heaven by his Mother and Father, Myrtle (McVety ) and Elmer Suitor and his siblings, Lawrence Suitor (Evelyn) , Kathleen Gundasen, June Hawker (Ralph) and Milton Suitor. He will be dearly missed by many extended family, friends and business colleagues.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 21 from 7-9 pm followed by a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Gilbert McIntrye & Son Funeral Home, Rockwood Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society and will be available at Gilbert McIntyre & Son Funeral Home.
