Frances Walker Goodwin

Frances passed away peacefully in Sherbrooke, Quebec on October 12, 2023 at the age of 96. She was born in Inverness, Quebec to Ruby and Roy Walker; sister to the late Ruth Bailey; and wife of the late Ross Goodwin. 

Frances was a loving Mom to Patricia (Michel Frappier) and Brenda (Mike Davis); Grammie to Shaun (Joanie), Rachel (Cody), and Nicole (Mike); Great Gran Fran to Pierce, Olivia, Benjamin, and Jacob. Frances also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends. We would like to give a special thanks to Carolyn Leonard for her devotion to our mom and family. We would also like to thank the staff at L’Eau Vie and Hotel Dieu for their compassionate care. 

There will be a visitation on November 4, 2023 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church – Main Street Bury, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. The funeral service will start at 2:00pm and the burial will follow immediately after at the Bown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bown cemetery would be appreciated by the family (c/o Dennis Herring, Bown Cemetery Committee, 106 Planche St., Cookshire, QC. J0B1M0).
