HENSON, Edward "Eddy" A.

1943 - 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eddy (Edward) Henson on June 21^st, 2023, at the age of 80, at the Hotel-Dieu Hospital, Sherbrooke. Husband of Johanne Martel, Eddy was the son of the late Edward Henson and the late Hazel Samson (Magog).

Beloved husband and best friend of 46 years of Johanne Martel; much loved father of Dawn (Bruce Hannough) and Elizabeth (Beth) (Landon Smith); grandfather of Connor, Sierra, Ethan and Wyatt; Eddy was the brother of Frankie (Jack Noble), Marion (Maurice Lacroix) and John Geoffrey (Jack) (Linda Douglas). He also leaves to mourn his sisters-in-law Nicole Martel (Jacques Desjardins) and Sylvie Duranceau (the late Pierre Martel), his brother-in law Richard Talbot (the late Jocelyne Martel), as well as his extended family, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

According to Eddy’s wishes, the family will not receive condolences; however, a celebration of Eddy’s life will be held at a later date. Details to follow.

The family extends sincere thanks to the wonderful physicians, nurses, and staff of Department 4C at Hotel-Dieu who provided such exceptional and compassionate care.
