It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Bernardina (Dien) Meekes Brus at the CSSS Memphrémagog on January 25, 2018 in her 93rd year.  Dear wife to the late William (Bill) Brus.

She leaves to mourn her children: Thea (Paul Hulshof), Henriette (Alain Lafaille), Margaret (late Dale Hartley), Mary (Jacques Cloutier), André (Christiane Roux), John (Sylvie Boucher) and William (Shelley Hatch).  She is predeceased by her son Ben.  She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Bryant (Lori), Michelle, Natalie, Brad (Lieke), Annie (Marc), Katrine (David), Josée (Jean-François), Philippe (Vanessa), Michael, Christopher (Laura), Yannick (Caroline), Julien (Caroline), Francis (Andréanne), Kevin (Caroline), Shayne (Annette), Andréane (Matthew), Drew (Emily), Keisha, Joanie (Marc), Ashley (Claude), Bill and Cassie (Jérôme); her 29 great grandchildren, her little angel Mathys and Steve & Alda Brus.  She also leaves behind many brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends from Canada and Holland.

Friends and family will gather at the Cass Funeral Home, 900, Clough St, Ayer’s Cliff, QC, on Friday February 2, 2018 from 7 – 10 p.m. and on Saturday February 3, 2018 from 9 – 11 a.m.  Funeral services will follow at the St-Barthélemy Church in Ayer’s Cliff.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at the Résidence Sanborn in Ayer’s Cliff and staff of the 6th floor at the CSSS Memphrémagog for the excellent care provided to our Mom.

As a memorial tribute to our Mom, donations to the to the Magog Hospital Foundation, 50, rue St-Patrice Est, Magog, QC, J1A 3X3, would be appreciated.
