1959 - 2022
Michael Ball age 63 of Compton, passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont on September 5, 2022.
Michael was born in Sherbrooke to Pearl Purdy (Ball) and Edward Ball on January 21st 1959.
He was a retiree of Waterville TG where he worked 31 years and also retiree and cherished member of the Waterville Fire Department where he volunteered from 1975-2001.
Michael is survived by his son Terry Ball, daughter Chelsea Ball (Guillaume Paquette), his brothers Carl Ball (Kathi Ball) and John Ball (Christine Bourque) and his grandchildren Sonny,Leyla,Maycee,Koby and Cameron, also his niece Erin and nephew Andrew.
He leaves to mourn his special friends Christine, Steve,Melissa,Corey, Donnie Frances,Ginette,Lois, Bev, Reg, Robin, Beaudoin family and Middlemiss family and many more.
Visitation will take place at the Cass Funeral Home 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Saturday, September 17th, 2022 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by the burial in the Greenwood cemetery Waterville.
The family of Michael wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Michel Thomas (Arianne) for the years of watching over him at home and would also like to thank the entire intensive care unit at CHUS Fleurimont.

Even though he was sick for sometime now I always thought he would pull through , seems so wrong for him to be an angel now at such a young age . Mike gave me something special a few years back when Tom passed away and I also have so many great memories Fly High Mike you will forever be remembered

I’m already missing our sometimes longwinded phone conversations. We could chat about anything and everything. Always fun to get together with an old friend. So glad we had a good visit just 2 weeks ago. It would be hard to find a better friend. Always ready to help a friend. Your struggle is now over. Rest In Peace my friend. Miss you Mike!

I am so very sorry to learn of Mike's passing. I have many fond memories of my old high school buddy, but probably my favourite is of us listening to his big collection of Stompin' Tom Connors records when our gang got together in his parent's basement rec room. I think Mike & I were the only ones who really enjoyed that and I know for sure we were the only ones who knew all the words to "Bud the Spud". I hope your own happy memories bring comfort to your families as you mourn the loss of this good man. My deepest sympathies to all of you.
