It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ann Whyte Martel on August 18, 2022.
Ann leaves to mourn her husband George Martel, her daughters Kathleen Martel (Murray Suitor) and Laurie Ann Martel (Douglas McBean), her beloved granddaughter Melissa McBean, as well as her siblings Barbara (Gord), Charles (Donna), Janet (Gary), Ernest (Petey) and Joanne Whyte, her nieces and nephews.
Graveside service only on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 3 p.m. at the Malvern Cemetery, with celebration of life to follow at the A.N.A.F. (The Hut), Lennoxville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or “Pet Connection” would be appreciated.
My heart goes out to you all. Your whole family had such a big impact on me growing up. Ann treated me like one of her daughters. Her love was so amazing. I know she's up with my mom and dad . From Tyler and I we wish you all the loves and hugs as we can only give at this time

I am shocked to hear of the passing of Ann.
As a 14 yr. Old student from the Lower North Shore back in the 70’s, and having to leave home at such a young age, I had the honour of living with the Martel family. Ann took me in as her own daughter and treated me as such.
I have never forgotten this wonderful lady and have kept in contact with her over the years.
May you Rest In Peace, Ann. You will never be forgotten. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

I was so saddened by the news of Ann's passing. Your mom was an incredible woman who over the years gave me so much advice, Wither it was learning how to cook, bake, or life struggles she always had great advice and you truly knew she cared when she spoke! She also shared many memory's of skidooing with my Mom and Dad and all the fiasco's that they would get in to together.
Ann will forever be in my thoughts.
