Wallace, Royce William

1924 – 2017

Royce William Wallace passed away suddenly on December 21, 2017 at his home.  He is predeceased by his wife Mary Stewart. He is survived by his companion Jean Martin and his loving family.

He leaves to mourn his sister Mildred (Wallace) Lowry; his eight children: Diane (late Larry), Betty (Bob), Danny (Joy), Debbie (Tom), Brenda (John), Janet (Steve), David and John as well as his fifteen grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Interment will be held in the Spring.

As a memorial tribute to Royce, donations to the CAB R.H. Rediker, 112, rue Principale St, Stanstead, J0B 3E5, would be appreciated by the family.


Wallace, Barry

1950 – 2017

Barry Wallace passed away with his family by his side at the CHUS Fleurimont, on December 18th, 2017 at the age of 67.  Dear son of the late Russell Oliver Wallace and the late Lucille Bertha Perkins.

He leaves to mourn his wife Linda Dustin, his son Russell (Lydia Gilman), his daughter Sheri-Lou and his grandchildren Hannah and Noah.  He is predeceased by his sister Susan Lou.  He will be missed by his uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held in the Spring.

The family wishes to thank the ICU Unit of the CHUS Fleurimont for the excellent care given to Barry.

Walker Andrews, Mary Elizabeth

November 17, 1940 - November 27, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary announces her peaceful passing on the morning of November 27th at The Grace Village Home in Lennoxville Quebec, after her long battle with Pulmonary and Heart Disease

Mary was a nurse at the Sherbrooke hospital for over 30 years, working in the delivery room and palliative care.  Through out her retirement years her and her late husband Merritt Andrews shared their love and home with over 200 foster children in Vermont. Even in her last months at the Grace she was still giving care to her fellow residence.

Pre deceased by her loving husband of 51 years Merritt Andrews and her eldest son Keith Andrews. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Bob & Lee Walker, Newport VT. Her daughter and son in law Lana & Ross Oliver, Kelowna, BC. Her son Corey Andrews and daughter-in-law Kerry Cole, Squamish, BC
She will be greatly missed as "Nanny" to her grand children, Tyler, Tanya, Austin, Emily and Abbie

Mary is remembered by her many friends and past patients for her never ending kindness and loving nature.


The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all those who gave their time to visit and care for her over the last few years.

A visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Friday Dec 1, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A celebration of her Life for family and friends will be held in the Summer of 2018

White, Delmar

1925 – 2017

Delmar White passed away peacefully at the Wales Home on October 14, 2017 at the age of 92, formally from Stanstead.  Loving husband to Hazel McComb and son of the late Gordon White and the late Eula Hartwell.

Delmar leaves to mourn his sons Gordon (Nancy Jameson) and Robin (Lorraine MacLeod); his grandchildren Erin, Sean (Alexandra), Nicholas, Joshua and great-grandson Forrest.  Delmar was a brother to the late Robert (Mary), the late Nyla (Late Frank), Dale (Winnie) and the late Basil.  He will be missed by his many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral Home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, Qc, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.   A funeral service will follow with Rev. Barbara Wintle officiating.

The family wishes to thank the many caregivers at the Wales Home for the wonderful care provided to Delmar.

Williams Beaulieu , Madeleine



Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu, on Monday October 9, 2017 in her 100th year.  
Daughter of the late Ernest Williams and the late Julia Verpaelst and wife of the late Leslie George Beaulieu. Predeceased by her sisters Kay, Irene, Erma and Winnifred.
 Dear mother of George Leslie (Eleanor) and Gary William (Margaret). Loving grandmother of Leslie George (Patricia), Michael (Katie), late Richard, Gary (Sandra), David (Dana), Kyla (Soudloo) and Karen (Brian). Great grandmother of George Leslie (Valerie), Meaghan, Mitchel, Paige, Will, Channey, Jonah (Rosie), Nash, Cohen, Jake, Aiden, Rylee, Silver and Samara and also great great grandmother of Paisley and Leighten.
Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Thursday, October 12th,  2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and also on Friday, October 13th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Rev. Heather Thomson officiating.  
Special thanks to Dr. Gohier and Joanne Gresbien RN and staff of the 5th and 6th floor at the Hôtel-Dieu for the care given to Madeleine.

(1911-2017)
Passed away peacefully at Grace Village on Monday, October 2 in her 107th year after a long and full life. Beloved mother of Heather (James Sweeny) and Nora. Cherished grandmother of Claire, Mary (Jean-Marc Francius), Bridget (Chris Maynard), Keira, Johanne, and Tamara and much loved great-grandmother of Xavier, Lewis, Arsène, Gareth, Hannah, William and Elianna.
Visitation will take place at Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College Street, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville Borough) on Thursday, October 5 from 2 – 4 p.m. and from 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral will take place on Friday, October 6 at St. Mark’s Chapel, Bishop’s University at 2 p.m.

Wood, Steven Mark

1981 - 2017

Steven passed away peacefully on September 6, 2017 at the age of 35.  Beloved son of Norman Wood and Sharon Bronson.

Steven leaves to mourn his aunt Darlene (Mike), uncles Ronald and Michael and many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Ayer’s Cliff Cemetery, 967, Main Street, Ayer’s Cliff, Qc, on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Barbara Wintle officiating.

Wilson, Kenneth Alfred

1953 -2017

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ken Wilson at the CHUS –Fleurimont, on June 30th 2017 in his 64th year. 

Ken was loved by many and made friends wherever he went. He will be greatly missed.  He enjoyed hunting, softball, darts and the great outdoors.  He was proud of and loved his children very much.  He is survived by his children Brian (Karen), Amanda (Raymond) and Ivan; his sister Brenda; his grandchildren Aiden, Rylee, Aliyah and Brandon; his stepchildren Jessica (Michel) and David (Danielle) Elliott; his foster children Samuel Wheeler, Amélie and Marc Beauvais. 

Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral Home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 9 to 11 am.  A funeral service will follow.  Interment at the Brookside Cemetery in Fitch Bay. 

As a tribute to his memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 5151 Assumption Blvd, Montreal, QC, H1T 4A9, would be appreciated by the family.


White Dunsmore , Linda

(1946-2017)

Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in her 70th year. Linda is survived by her husband Gary Dunsmore and her son Cameron. She is also survived by her sister Joan Champagne, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service to be held at a later date.

Whitaker Wilson , Doris

(July 16,1926-May 17,2017)
Passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, May 17th  in Asbestos, Quebec at the age of 90 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Daughter of the late James W. Whitaker and Jane A. Best of Leeds Yorkshire, England.
Leaves to mourn her beloved husband of 57 years Glen Wilson of Danville, Quebec. Her children, Deborah and her husband Jean Louis of Penetanguishene, Ontario;  David and his wife Christine of Richmond, Quebec; her grand children,  Andrew (Julie), Brian (Annick), Gregory (Marie), Nicholas (Kayla) and Jacob; great grand children Elizabeth and Hunter. Predeceased by her siblings James, Albert, George and Alice. As well, she will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to all the staff at the HÔPITAL, CLSC ET CENTRE D'HÉBERGEMENT D'ASBESTOS (CLSC) for taking excellent care of her these past few years.
