Sparkes, Malcolm Kenneth

October 21, 1936 - January 4, 2018

“And I -in righteousness I will see YOUR FACE, when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing YOUR likeness. Psalm 17: 15
On Thursday morning at six a.m.January 4, Mac the beloved husband of Janet (née Moon) went HOME to be with his LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!
 He was the much loved and cherished Father of Tim (Rita), Cindy (Frank) and Ted (Julie). He was a precious grandfather to 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters and their families and his brother and sisters in laws and their family in the Moon family. He also leaves to mourn many friends and neighbors.
Mac was a strong hard working quiet man who was a mentor to many. He was always ready to help anyone. His strong faith in GOD was evident in every area of his life. We thank the LORD for our precious husband father grandfather and great grandfather and we cherish his memory and his love for GOD and for us.
We will forever be thankful for all his guidance in our lives.

Mac will be laid to rest at a graveside service in the Spring at the Huntingville  Cemetery to which all who wish will be invited to attend. Notice to follow later

Stalker, Clayton James

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Clayton James Stalker on December 19, 2017. He was 83 years old. He is predeceased by his parents Frank Stalker and Mina Welch, half brother Lester, brother Lachlan, and nephew James.
He leaves to mourn his sister Janet ( James ), his children Jolene ( Frank ), Peggy ( Gilles ), and Robert ( Katy ). He also leaves to mourn 8 grandchildren:  Pamela, Adam, Megan, Ian, Gina, Emily, Douglas and Taylor and 2 great granddaughters Ellasyn and Madison, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and many good friends.
Visitation will take place at Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale St. South in Richmond, Quebec on Thursday January 4, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 pm and on Friday January 5, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, immediately followed by a service.
Interment will take place at a later date.

Smith Dupuis, Ruth Elaine

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul, Ruth Elaine Smith (Dupuis) on December 17, 2017 at the age of 83. She is predeceased by her loving husband Tony (Sonny), her mother and father, Alice and Frank Smith, of Stratford, Ontario, and sister June Chessell (Bruce) of Mitchell, Ontario. She is survived by her brother, Jack (Ursula) Mattimore, of Toledo, Ohio and brother- in- law Jean Paul Dupuis, Florida. Ruth is also survived by her children, Tony (Lane), Denis, Gary (Bonnie), and Nancy (Michael), her grandchildren Krista, Amanda (Nicolas), Gregory, Sean (Kenzie), Eric, Mikaela, and Hannah and great grandson, Caelan. As well as other nephews, nieces and their families of the Chessell’s, Wells, and Mattimore Clans in Canada and the United States.
Ruth, was always known for her compassion and devotion to helping others, through her nursing and caregiving careers in the RCAF, in North Bay, in Borden, and at the Wales Home in Richmond. She was also known for the unconditional love she showed to the family she valued so much. Through these kind words, her family members shows their love,

Memorial Service to be held at a future date.

Sisco Brown, Irene

1930 -2017

Passed away peacefully at the Magog hospital, on Saturday December 9, 2017 in her 88th year.   Beloved wife of Russell Brown and daughter to the late Gordon Knowlton and the late Edna Sisco.

She leaves to mourn her husband Russell, her children Byron (Marilyn), Debra (Jack), Trudy (Sue), Cindy (Doug), Laurie (David) and Darryl (Darlene).  She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, her sister Shirley (Stan), as well as many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place at the Cass funeral, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.  A graveside service will be held in the Spring.

As a memorial tribute, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 110-1525 Carling Ave., Ottawa, ON, K1Z 8R9, would be appreciated by the family.

Stalker , James Lachlan

May 18, 1957-November 28, 2017

Passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Predeceased by his parents Lachlan Stalker and Thera Ball and also by his loving grandparents Frank Stalker and Mina Welch.  He leaves to mourn his uncle & friend Clayton Stalker, his brothers and sisters John Stalker ( Diane Buzzell ),  Heather Stalker,  Harold Stalker (Lisa Doyle), Debbie Stalker (Gerry St-Laurent),  Helen Begin (Michael Jones), Robert Begin (Helen Mitchell),  Lisa Begin (Chris Sylvester) and Elizabeth Begin. He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, along with many life long friends.
Visitation will take place at Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale St. S. Richmond, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. A graveside service will be held immediately following visitation on Wednesday, December 6th at the St. Andrew’s Cemetery Melbourne Quebec.

Statton , Judith

Statton    (1947-2017)

Passed away with her family by her side, at the Maison Aube-Lumière, Sherbrooke, on Wednesday September 27, 2017, at the age of 70, Judith Anne compagnion of the late Keith Smith and daughter of the late Walter Statton and the late Lillian Desruisseaux.  
She is survived by her daughter Lillian (Denis), granddaughter Vanessa (Bruno), grandson Greg (Shelby), great granddaughter Charlotte, her stepson Garry Smith and also her brothers and sisters, brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Resting at  Bury St-Paul’s Church, 558 Main St., Bury on Saturday September 30, 2017 from 2 to 3pm followed by the funeral service at 3pm. Interment at Bury Protestant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison Aube-Lumière, 3071, 12ième avenue Nord, Sherbrooke, QC, J1H5H3 would be appreciated.

Simoneau, Albert

1941 – 2017

Following a long illness, Mr. Albert Simoneau passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 26, 2017 at the age of 76.  He was a loving husband to Margaret MacPherson and to the late Joyce Laberee and son of the late Beatrice Bolduc and the late Laurent Simoneau.

Mr. Simoneau leaves to mourn his daughters Trudy (Steve), Tammy and Tanya (Shawn), his 11 grandchildren as well as his 11 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter Lana.  He was a brother to the late Lawrence, the late Edward, René (late Agnes), Jeannette (Gérald) and Thérèse (Charlie). He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral Home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the Sacré-Coeur Church in Stanstead on Friday September 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.  Interment at the Mont-Ste-Marie cemetery.

Sorensen, John


Passed away at the CSSS-IUGS Pavillon St-Joseph, on September 7,
2017 at the age of 83. Son of the late Christian Sorensen and the late
Gladys Martin. John leaves to mourn his niece Christine Morrison, his
great nephew Jeffrey Norris, his brother-in-law Bruce Barber, along
with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Honouring his wishes there will be no funeral service.

Sullivan , Doris


On September 1st 2017, at the CHUS in Fleurimont, Mrs. Doris Sullivan passed away peacefully at the age of 61.  She leaves to mourn, her husband, Dennis, her daughters, Angie (Dan) and Pamela (Joseph), her grand-daughters, Taylor, Saasha, and Khaleesi, her mother, Rachel, her brother, Marcel (Louise), as well as several friends and relatives.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at the Ulverton Community Center (153 Rte 143) on Saturday September 23rd, 2017, from 1:30pm to 4pm for family and friends.

Stevens , Shelley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Shelley Stevens. At the age of 40, she leaves to mourn her father, Greg (Josée), her brother Christopher (Rebecca) and her nephews, Lochlan and Callum. She will also be missed by her second family, the Grimards in Asbestos.  She is predeceased by her mother, Sheila Doyle, and her grandparents Thelma and Francis Doyle along with Sydney and Patricia Stevens. We would like to extend a special thank you to the Sureté du Quebec, search teams and volunteers who helped in finding our angel. A visitation will take place on Friday, September 15 from 7:00pm to 9:30 pm at Cass funeral home in Richmond.  A second visitation will take place at Trenholm United Church on Saturday, September 16 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm followed by the funeral.
