Rollins Tetreault, Evelyn

1922 – 2017

Evelyn Adele Tetreault Rollins passed away peacefully at the Magog hospital on December 31, 2017 in her 96th year, dear wife to the late Norman Rollins.

She leaves to mourn her children Deanna, Norma (Gordon) and Donald.  She is predeceased by her son Howard.  She will be missed by her grand-children: Michel (Natalie), Joey (Paula), Danny, Shelley and Andy as well as her great-grandchildren Roxanne, Maya, Charles, Caleb, Korey and Amanda.  She also leaves many other relatives and friends.

As per her wishes a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

As a memorial tribute, donations to the Magog Hospital Foundation, 50, rue St-Patrice Est, Magog, QC, J1A 3X3, would be appreciated by the family.

Richard Comstock, Claudette

1946 – 2017

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the CSSS Memphremagog on Saturday October 21, 2017 at the age of 71.  Dear wife to William Comstock Junior and daughter of the late Rosario Richard and the late Jeannette Isabelle.

Claudette will be deeply missed by her loving children Michael (Kim), Anne (Paul); her cherished grandchildren Alyssa (Luc), Christopher (Dawn), Jason, Matt (Teagan), her adored great grandson Jacob; and special sister Micheline (Paul). Loving aunt of several nieces and nephews. She will also be mourned by many relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. as well as on Saturday October 28, 2017 from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacré-Coeur Church in Stanstead.

We wish to thank the caregivers at the Palliative care unit of the CSSS Memphremagog for the wonderful care given, but mostly to our family, neighbors and friends who have been so generous, supportive and giving to Claudette and our family throughout this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers and as a memorial tribute to Claudette, donations to the CAB R.H. Redicker, 112 rue Principale, Stanstead, QC, J0B 3E5, or to the Stanstead Legion, 15, Maple St, Stanstead, QC, J0B 3E0, would be appreciated by the family.

Ross May , Elaine

Sadly we announce the passing of Elaine Ross May on Monday, May 8th, 2017 at the age of 92.   Elaine was born in Montreal to Gertrude Budge Ross and George Allen Ross. She grew up in Westmount and attended Trafalgar School. In 1945 she graduated from the University of Toronto School of Occupational Therapy. She married William Weir May in 1947 who predeceased her.   Throughout her career, she worked at the Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Queen Mary Veterans’, the Montreal General and Pasteur Hospitals, Montreal Rehabilitation Institute and Recreation for the Handicapped.

 In 1972, Elaine founded the Montreal United Workshop Association and in 1976 was awarded the Order of Canada for her work re-integrating residents with challenges as productive members of society. She was a tireless community volunteer for numerous groups and causes. Elaine was an inspiration to all who knew her - full of new innovative ideas - always off on another adventure.  Well remembered for her antics of scavenger hunts, tipping canoes, catching frogs and kick the can.

Elaine is survived by her children William (Valerie), Shirley Tagalik (James), Diane (Robert Bean) and grandchildren Cameron (Jessica), Kukik (Darryl), Duncan, May (Donny), Keely (Dan), Olivia, Ryan (Rebecca); great-grandchildren Natalie, Quasa, Qaviajak, Alexander, Blake, Aria and Angutimmarik.

A celebration of her life will take place in July at Weir Memorial Park in Ogden. She requested that tax deductible contributions be made for the beautification of Weir Memorial Park, 125 Descente 20, Ogden, QC, J0B 3E3.

Ross, Charles W.

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont in Sherbrooke, on Thursday February 23 2017, Mr. Charles Ross in his 91st year.

Charles leaves to mourn his loving wife of 66 years,  Lena Millar, along with his nieces, nephews, many dear friends, with a special thanks to Jim Thompson for being there for us.

Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St., Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), where friends may visit on Friday March 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Saturday from 1 to 2 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday March 4th at 2:00PM with the Rev. Blair Ross officiating. Interment in the Malvern Cemetery. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening.  

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the staff of the 8th floor surgery, CHUS Fleurimont, for the wonderful care they provided.

Royce, Martin

1933 - 2016


Mr. Royce Martin passed away peacefully at the Connaught home on May 9th, 2016 at the age of 82.  Beloved husband of Muriel Corey Martin and son of the late Leonard Martin and Hattie Powers.

Mr. Martin leaves to mourn his daughter Gini (Herman); his grandchildren Ashley (Dexter) and Matt, as well as his great grandchild Jaelen.  He is predeceased by his brother Arnold.  Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and cherished friends also share in our loss.

Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral home, 900 Clough St, Ayer's Cliff, on Friday May 13th, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 at the Christ Church, 548, Dufferin, Stanstead, at 2:00 p.m.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the caregivers of the Connaught Home in North Hatley and the Magog Hospital, 4th floor, for the care given to Royce.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, 740, Galt Ouest, bureau 112, Sherbrooke, QC, J1H 1Z3, would be appreciated by the family.

Radcliffe, Graham

Graham Radcliffe was born in England on the 5th of August 1956. He lived a good life, full of adventures, the good and the bad ones, with his loving friends and family. He died peacefully at home, in Sherbrooke, leaving his amazing stories. In his youth, he would say Bring it on! We will miss him, along with his conforting presence and his kind strength.

He leaves his wife, Louise Drouin, his children Julien (Michelle Jury) and Kim (Simon Gaboury), his granddaughter Gaïa; his brother Neil (Vicky Scott), their daughters Georgia, Alishia Faye and Poppy; his brother-in-law Jacques (Louise Ducharme); his sisters-in-law Jeannine Fournier, her two children Thierry (Sophie) and Sara (Sylvain); Francine (Jean-Claude Cloutier), their two children Stéphanie (Michel) and Simon (Émilie), and many grand-nieces, nephews and friends.

Ruth, Curtis Munroe


 Surrounded by her family, Mrs. Ruth Curtis Munroe passed away at the CSSS Memphremagog on March 6th, 2016 in her 95th year, beloved wife of 64 years to the late Ralph W. Munroe.

Mrs. Munroe was a loving mother to her children Glenna (Ned), Sandra (Tom) (late Dollard), Joan (Hugh), Ralph Jr. and Gary (Carmen).  She was predeceased by her daughters Beverly and Rosalie.  She will dearly be missed by her 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.  She also leaves to mourn many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the 2nd floor, long term care unit, for the excellent care given to Mrs. Munroe.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday May 7th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Woodside cemetery, Woodside Rd, Beebe, QC.

Reid Blanchette, Ruth


Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of 58 years to Dale Blanchette.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents Brisen Reid and Eva Paige, older brother Roy, and her twin brother Harry. Left to mourn this remarkable woman are her nieces , nephews, family and friends.

Visitation at Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale Sud, Richmond, on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 9 am to 11 am. The funeral service will follow at 11 am, with Tami Spires officiating. Interment will take place in the spring.

Special thanks to the staff at the CHUS-Fleurimont for the excellent care provided to Mrs. Blanchette.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Rebekah’s (Richmond Division) would be greatly appreciated.

Rowe Baldwin, Evelyn

1923 - 2015 Peacefully at the Wales Home in Cleveland, October 28th, 2015, with her husband by her side, passed Evelyn Baldwin, daughter of the late Fred and Caroline Rowe. She leaves to mourn her husband of 70 years, W. Keith Baldwin, formerly of Lennoxville. She will be sadly missed by her children Bill (April Langstaff), David (Carolyn Rowell), Nancy (Allan Rowell), and Dale (Linda Salladay). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: W. Keith (Cara), Dustin (Buffy), Chadwick (Irish), Colin, Jori (Craig Adams), Oliver (Roselyne Bourgault-Gervais), and Emily Baldwin, Barbara (Andrew Hopkins) and Thomas (Christina Ranieri) Rowell and great-grandchildren Taryn, Samantha, Joshua, Gabriel, Clara, and Elsie. She is survived by her sister-in-laws Eunice Baldwin and Cecile Lefevre (the late Richard Baldwin) and brother-in-law Lester Baldwin (Jacqueline Peloquin). She was predeceased by her brother Stan (the late Peggy McNaughten) and her brother-in-laws Elvyn Baldwin (the late Jane Ross), Richard Baldwin (Cecile Lefevre) and her sister-in-laws Ruby Baldwin Racicot, Alice Baldwin Corey. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces,nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 10 am to 11 am at the Lennoxville United Church, 6 Church St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), followed by the the funeral service at 11 am. Rev. Mead Baldwin officiating. Donations to the Wales Home Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.

Robertson, Frederick

On October 12, 2015, Fred peacefully left this world to be with his Heavenly Father. He will be forever missed by his wife Gardenia; his two daughters: Tami (Glen) and Tara (Scott); his grandchildren: Madina (Casey), Maurice and Mirko; as well as many family members and friends. A memorial service to honour Fred's life will held on Saturday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christ Church, 550 Dufferin, Stanstead, Quebec, followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Church, Stanstead.
