O'Donnell, Mark John

Passed away peacefully, following a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday August 25th 2013, Mark O’Donnell at the age of 57. Loving father of Julie (Eric Leclerc) et Patrick (Shanny Roy) and dear son of Gemma O’Donnell (the late Michael O’Donnell). Mark also leaves to mourn, his brother Peter (Monique), Denis (Susan), Paul (Joy), and Anne, and was predeceased by his brother Robert O’Donnell (Linda). He will be sadly missed by his girlfriend Lyne Giguere, along with his nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S. Richmond, where friends may visit on Friday August 30th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Saturday from 2 to 2:45 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Ste-Bibiane Catholic Church on Saturday August 31st at 3:00 PM followed by the interment in Ste-Bibiane cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Olney Carr, Mildred (Mim)

October 25, 1916 - June 14, 2013

Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in Richmond on June 14th, 2013 in her 97th year. Dear wife of the late Alden (Rusty) Carr. Mim will be missed by many but not as much as her family: her sister June (late Bob Foster), sons Robert (Mary) and Brian (Marcia); her grandchildren Melissa (Sean) and Melanie (Al); Oneida (Jay), Linda (Clayton) and Justin; great-grandchildren Jekoby, Darian, Aleisha, Samantha, Iris, Jayda Rose and Nathan. A Celebration of Mildred's life will be held at the Wales Home on Thursday June 20th 2013 at 1:30, followed by a time of fellowship until 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Wales Home Foundation, 506 Rte 243N, Richmond, QC J0B 2H0 would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. "Sorrow is not forever ... love is. O'Connor, Judith Ann

Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont, Sherbrooke, on Thursday January 24th 2013 at the age of 69. Dear daughter of the late James and Alice O’Connor of Sherbrooke, QC. Survived by her brothers Brian (Cathy) and Richard (Marlene). Pre-deceased by her brother Terry (Thelma), and sisters Joan (the late Chris) and Barbara. Judith also leaves to mourn her nephews Danny (Djilly), James (Julie) and Jason, her great niece Alicia and great nephew Timothy, along with other relatives and friends. Honouring Judith’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service at St-Anthony’s Cemetery, Lennoxville, at a later date. Ouellet, Charles

Passed away at the Youville Pavillion, Sherbrooke, QC on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the age of 89. Charles Eugène Ouellet, beloved husband of Rita Lefebvre. Charles was the loving father of Maruice, Murielle, Michel and Daniel (Louise). He was the cherished grandfather of Caroline (David), Stèphanie, Christine (Jim), Audrey (Eric), Maude (Yan) and Anthony and the great grandfather of Ismaëlla and Alexandrine. He is survived by his brother-in-law Renaud (Rita). Charles also leaves to mourn his many friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 1 to 2 pm followed by the funeral mass at 2 pm. Father Pierre Doyon officiating. Interment in the St-Anthony's Cemetery. Olney St-Cyr, Mary

Passed away peacefully in her 103rd year with members of her family by her side on October 19, 2012 at the Wales Home, Cleveland. She was the last surviving member of Ira Olney and Maude Gorman’s family and the devoted wife of the late Lionel St-Cyr. She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Katherine and James; her son-in-law, Gerald Badger and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Coddington; her cherished grandchildren, James (Melissa Perkins), Michael (Erica Reid), Emily(John T. Page), Kayla and Justin.She also leaves to mourn her brother-in-law Eugene St-Cyr (Noella Collard) and a very special friend and cousin, Jessie Gorman Brochu and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale St. S. Richmond, on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 7 to 9:30 pm and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:15 am. A funeral mass will be held at Ste-Bibiane Catholic Church, Richmond, on Saturday, October 27th at 10:30 am. Interment in the Ste-Anne's Catholic Cemetery, Danville. Oliver Slack, Alice

Passed away peacefully at the CSSS Memphremagog on Sunday January 8th at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Howard Slack. Dear mother of Tony, Steve (Marge) and Cathy. She also leaves to mourn her grandson Jamie Slack and great grandson Jesse Slack. With respect of Alice’s wishes there will be no visitation followed by a family burial at a later date. As a tribute to her memory, donations may be made to the Frontier Animal Society.

Oxford, Robert

Born on October 11, 1922 in Newport, Isle of Wight, England. Bob immigrated to Canada as a Home Child, arriving at the Gibbs Home in Sherbrooke, Quebec at age 15. He was one of the last surviving Home Children in Quebec. He served as a trooper with the Sherbrooke Fusiliers Regiment (27th Canadian Armoured Regiment) during World War II in France and Germany, and participated in the liberation of Holland in 1945. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011at1 pm at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke ( Lennoxville ). The Ven. Heather Thompson officiating. Loving spouse of the late Pearl Irene Washburn, he was a cherished father to the late Stewart (Susan Hayes), Allan (Judy Cole), Max (the late Nancy Singleton) and Ellen (Jeff Loomis). He also leaves to mourn his grandchildren Joshua, Timothy, Jeffrey, Graham, Jordan, Brittany, Kaitlyn and Courtney as well as his great-grandchildren Ryann, Nicholas and Izabelle. Donations in Bob's memory made to the Dr. W.J. .Passed away suddenly at his home in Stanstead on January 14, 2011,at the age of 83. Dear father of Jocelyn (Jacinthe St-Laurent), Marc, and Lynn (oving grandfather of :Jonathan, Alexandre, Cleveland and Stephan; John will also be sadly missed by his great-grandchildren: Elie, Nicolas and Sophie-Anne along with his brothers André, Jacquelin his sister Jacqueline (Richard Gravel), nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. There will be visitation in the presence of his ashes at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead, 819-876-5213/www.casshomes.ca on Friday, February 4, 2011, where friends may visit from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Also on Saturday, February 5 from 10:00 until departure for the Sacred Heart Church where the service will be held at 11:15.

O’Boyle, Gregory Walter, peacefully and in the presence of family at the Ste-Anne’s Veterans Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC, on Sunday November 7th, 2010 in his 98th year. Beloved husband of the late Alberta Temple, dear father of Marsha (Unheim) of North Vancouver, B.C.; Brian of Candiac, Qc.; Susan (Keenan) Toronto, ON; and the late Elizabeth Anne (Rockwood) formerly of Toronto, ON. Beloved and respected father-in-law of the late Erik Unheim (Marsha); Rosemarie Boucher (Brian); the late Damien Keenan (Susan); and Michael Rockwood (the late Elizabeth Ann). Most excellent and beloved grandfather of Oliver and Caitlin O’Boyle, Annemarie and Per Unheim, and Christiane Keenan. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St., Sherbrooke ( Lennoxville), Qc, where family and friends may call on Friday November 19th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday November 20th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 20 Gordon St. Sherbrooke Qc. Special thanks to Tina, Mario, Dawn, Anna and all the staff at the Westhill Residence in N.D.G. who provided such excellent care for Dad for the last three years, and where he was fondly known as the “Cookie Monster” for his frequen raiding of the pantry to get at his beloved chocolate chip cookies. Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills (Palliative Care Unit), Cobourg, ON.,on Wednesday, March 12th 2008, with his family at his side, at the age of 65 years, Orlay John Olsson beloved son of Arlene Winslow and the late Orlay Olsson. Dear father of Tara (Cory Pandoffs) and Johnna (Gary Braid). Johnnie was the cherished grandfather of Zack. He is survived by his brothers and sisters Pat (Jim Gutscher) Karen (Collin Laberee), Bruce (Gail Pope) and Ricky (Jenny Davis) and also by many nieces, nephews and friends.
