Nutbrown , Ethel

(1925-2017)

Passed away peacefully at Grace Village, Sherbrooke on Thursday, September 7th, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Arnold Tweed. Mrs Nutbrown Tweed leaves to mourn her sister Mildred Nutbrown Green as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the Malvern Cemetery.
Donations to the Dr. W.J. Klinck Foundation, 1515 Pleasant View, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 0C6 would be appreciated.


Nichols Stevens , Patricia

1921- 2017

Patricia Nichols Stevens peacefully passed away at the Wales Home in Richmond on  April 22 2017 at the age of 95. Loving wife of the late Sydney Stevens, she leaves to mourn her children: Sandra (Jim Meyers), Greg (Josée Nadeau), her grandchildren Shelley and Christopher Stevens (Rebecca Younge), Michael and Matthew Meyers and her great grandchildren: Lochlan and Callum Stevens.

The family will welcome friends and relatives on Saturday April 29 at the Trenholm United Church on Rte 243 in Trenholm from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.

The family would also like to extend a sincere thanks to all the staff at the Wales Home (central) for the kindness and care provided.




Nutbrown Rothney , Arlene Doris



Passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2017 in the presence of her family at the Hotel-Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke, Qc. at the age of 95.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Russell Rothney of 60 years.
Loving mother of Patricia (John Robinson), David (Shirley Robinson), Susan (Gerald Cook) and Mary Lou (Robert Cusack).
Predeceased by her daughter Diane (Robert Magon), her grandson Michael Robinson (Melanie Mukkala), her sisters Phyllis (the late Curt Robichaud) and Gloria (the late Lachlan Matheson) her brother Russell (the late Joan Dezan) and her nephew Barry Nutbrown.
She is survived by her brother Wayne Nutbrown (Louise Cass) several cousins including Frances Smith, 7 grandchildren: Jennifer Rothney (Andy), Rob Magon (Renata), Julie Magon (Eric), Caitlin and Natalie Cook, Jackson and Grant Cusack; 6 great grandchildren: Nicholas Robinson, Isaiah, Matteo and Jayden Zewdie, Ethan and Austin Wolfe as well as many nieces and nephews.   
Visitation will be held at the Lennoxville United Church, 6 Church, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Saturday, April 1st, 2017 from 1 to 2 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. Rev. Linda Buchanan officiating. Interment at Malvern Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu  Palliative Care 5th and 6th floor and also the staff of Grace Village for the care given to Arlene.

Nugent, Harris

1922-2017

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harris Nugent, aged 94, who passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on February 24, 2017.
 
Harris always had a ready smile and a story to tell. He will be sorely missed by family, friends and his community, but will not be forgotten.

Son of Grant and Harriet Nugent, born on November 16, 1922 in Maple Grove. Settled in Cookshire at the age of 13. Farmer, WWII veteran, dear husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

Husband of the late Gloria Coates, and survived by his dear life companion Geraldine Macaulay, brother Bobby, sons Dany and Kim, and grandchildren Jessica, Scott, Kelly, Julia, and Corey.

A special thanks to family and friends for the all the phone calls, visits and continuous support, as well as staff at La Maison Aube-Lumière for the wonderful care Harris received.

All are welcome to join us in honoring Harris's life on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Armory in Bury. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, and will be followed by a celebration of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to La Maison Aube-Lumière, 3071, 12e Avenue Nord, Sherbrooke, QC, J1H 5H3.


Noyes, James Frederick

Suddenly, at the CHUS Fleurimont, Qc, on July 22th 2016, James Frederick Noyes passed away in his 72nd year, beloved husband to Jean Cass and son of the late Etta Louise Sutton and the late Reginald Noyes.

Other than his wife, Mr. Noyes leaves to mourn his step-children Kathy Cass (Jean Fluet) and Allen Cass as well as his brothers Brian (Kitty) and Jonathan.  He is predeceased by his brother Walter (late Lois).  He is survived by his 3 nephews and their families, his lifetime friend Doug Leithead as well as many other relatives and friends from Canada and the United States.  He will be missed by his dog Buddy.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Cass funeral Home, 900, Clough St, Ayer’s Cliff, Qc, on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.   A gathering for relatives and friends will also be held at the Wheelock Wood Yard, 1008, Dry Pond Rd, Rte 16, Glover, VT (exit 25 off Rte 91) on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (bring lawn chairs).

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the caregivers of the cardiac unit at the CHUS – Fleurimont, as well as to the many relatives and friends for their support and kind gestures.

Nixon, Ross

Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home, on Saturday, April 18, 2015, Ross Nixon at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Alleda Johnston, and dear father of Gloria, Douglas (Charlotte), Anne (Toby Knowles), Lucy, Lois Nola (Ray Morrison), Tim and of the late Rodney Nixon. Ross also leaves to mourn his 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, his sister Gladys Bowden, along with his niece and nephew, many other relatives and friends.  Passed away at the Residence Château du bel -Age , Windsor Qc. in the presence of his loving family on Monday April 8, 2013, at the age of 88. Precious husband of Fernande Trépanier. Son of the late Joseph Nadeau and the late Anna Fortier. Cherished father of: the late Ginette, Francine (Roger Standish), Richard (Danielle DuFresne), Diane (Raphael Francoeur); Fernand will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Josée, Julie, Vicky, David, Philippe, Annie, and Marie-Eve; brother of the late Emilien (Jeanne-Darc), the late Jeanne-Mance (the late Emilien, Anita, Lucille (the late Roger), the late Gaetan (Lucille), and Jacqueline (Charles); he also leaves many nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers- in law, cousins and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough, Ayer’s Cliff on Friday, April 12, 2013, where family and friends may come to visit from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Also on Saturday, April 13, from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m., followed by the service in St. Barthelemy Church at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will take place in the St. Barthelemy cemetery.


Nutbrown Matheson, Gloria

Peacefully at the Argyll Pavillion, Sherbrooke, QC, on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the age of 84. Gloria Jean Nutbrown, beloved wife of the late Lachlan Matheson. Gloria was the loving mother of Raymond (France Raymond), Jessie (Dale Palasty), Stella, Jean and Norma (Glenn Magee). She was the cherished grandmother of Carol (Rene), Kevin, Scott (Lori), Christa, Jade, Kyle and two great grandchildren Joshua and Emma. She is survived by her sister Arlene (late Russell Rothney) and brothers Russell (late Joan ) and Wayne (Louise) and was predeceased by her sister Phyllis (late Kurt Robichaud). She leaves also to mourn many nieces, nephews and many friends. Nadeau, Roland

Passed away peacefully at the CSSS Hébergement Windsor, on Friday, May 20, 2011, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Florence Fafard and dear father of Gilles ( Gina Nadeau ), Nicole ( Michel Grandmont ), Normand ( Hélène Lambert ), Sylvie ( Pierre Vaillancourt ) and Aline ( Michael Patrick ). Dear grandfather of Josée Grandmont ( Mathieu ), Cynthia ( Philippe ), Jacynthe, Matthieu and Sébastien Vaillancourt, Amélie and Marc-Antoine Nadeau, Kevin and Megan ( Alex ) Patrick and the late Caroline Nadeau. Great grandfather of Olivier, Marc-Antoine, Elissa, Néhémie and Siméon. Dear brother of Jeanne Nadeau and Andre. Roland also leaves to mourn his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Pricipale S. Richmond, Que. On Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 9:45 to 10:45 am . A funeral service will be held at the Ste-Bibiane church, Richmond on Wednesday May 25, 2011 at 11am. Interment at the Ste-Bibiane's cemetery at a later date. Nicholson Rankin, Joyce

Peacefully at the Maison Aube-Lumière, Sherbrooke on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the age of 71 years. Joyce was the beloved daughter of the late David Nicholson and the late Ruth MacDonald. Joyce was the wife of the late Joseph Rankin and the loving companion and best friend of Paul Emile Lortitch, step mother to Lucie, Denise, Lise and Benoit (Julie) Lortitch. She is survived by her sister Gail (Dale Farrell) and brother Vernon and was predeceased by her sister Wenda and brother Wesley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service will be held at the Gisla Cemetery, Milan Que on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2pm.
