Erasin Garcia, Maria Theresia

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Theresia Erasin Garcia.

She left us peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on February 25th, 2017, amongst the people she loved.

Her warmth, energy and strength will continue to shine from within every person that had the privilege of meeting her.

She shall be remembered in our hearts.

Evans, Elaine


Elaine Evans passed away peacefully on August 12 at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke. The daughter of the late William and Angela Evans of Huntingville, Quebec, Elaine took great pleasure in having an expanding and loving family.

Her sister, Ruth, brother Dick and his wife, Marina, and the late Philip and Leah Wright were her immediate family. Elaine enjoyed each of her nieces, nephews, and their spouses: Evans --Angela (Graham); Jennifer (Bruce);Thomas (Lumi); Richard (Jennifer); Tim and (Dione); Wright--Janet (Richard); Pamela(Peter); Daniel (Lynne); Stephen; and Alan. Elaine happily observed the development of 14 great nieces and nephews, and most recently Lillian Maria Ridley, a great-great niece in Ottawa.

Elaine graduated from Lennoxville High School, Bishop's University, MacDonald College School for Teachers, and Middlebury College, Vermont. Her professional career spanned 40 years and experienced many challenges and changes, all of which she managed with her customary intelligence, wit, tenacity, and grace. She will be remembered for her love of singing and beautiful voice; for her love of family and generous spirit; for her sense of humour and fun; and for her enduring faith in God.

Eryou, Eugene

 (Gramps) Passed away at the CSSS Memphremagog on February, 6, 2015, at the age of 82. Dear brother of: Leslie, Myrtle, Madelyn, Pauline, Irene, Milton, Mildred, and Richard. Eugene had a twin that died at birth. He will also be sadly missed by his sister-in- law Denise as well as his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, his close friend Russell Wilson, other relatives and friends. Eugene worked in Butterfield and the Glove Shop, and will never be forgotten. A graveside service will be held in the Marlington cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Marlington Cemetery, in care of Caroline Parent, 24,Centre St., Stanstead, Qc. JOB 3E0 would be greatly appreciated.

Echenberg, Edwin

Passed away at the Wales Home, Richmond QC, on Monday October 13th 2014, Mr. Edwin Echenberg at the age of 89. Loving husband of 64 years to Isabelle Echenberg (née Boy), and dear father of Cathy (Masayuki Hagiwara). Edwin also leaves to mourn, his two grandsons, along with many other relatives and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), where friends may visit on Saturday October 18th from 2:30 to 3:30. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 3:30 with Rev. Heather Thomson officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Scotstown on Saturday November 1st at 2:00 PM. Evans (née Noble), Carole

Passed away at the Hotel Dieu Arthabaska, on Saturday, August 16, 2014, following a lengthy battle with cancer, Carole Noble at the age of 57. Loving wife of Larry Evans and dear mother of Jennifer (Patrick Gagné) and Mickel Evans. Dear Mammy of Louane and Abygail. Carole also leaves to mourn her parents, Frank and Yolande Noble, her mother in law Nellie Evans, sisters Lynda and Susie and her brother Guy Noble. Survived by her sisters in law, brothers in law, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home, 148 Daniel-Johnson St., Danville, Qc where friends may visit on Wednesday, August 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m.A celebration of Carole’s life will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Eric Lukacs officiating. Interment in the Danville Protestant Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Eryou, Darcy

Passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont, Sherbrooke, QC on Wednesday January 8, 2014 at the age of 60 years. Son of the late Milton Eryou and the late Ona Howes. Beloved husband of Doris Ells, cherished father of Philip (Lisa) and Sabrina-Kate (Victor Almeida) and grandfather of Chanelle, Lacey, Fancy Eryou and Sofia Almeida. Darcy leaves to mourn his sisters Brenda (Austin Bailey) and Charlene (Gilles Gosselin), his sisters-in-law Karen (Hube Start), the late Barbara, Rosemary (Ray Walker), Nancy (Robert Bedard), the late Marilyn and Osborne Lowe, Hope Coleman Kutney and Robert Coleman as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Resting at Greenridge Baptist Church, 47 Queen St. South, Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) on Saturday January 11, 2014 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 3:30pm. Evans, Hope

Hope Gwendolyn EVANS It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Hope Evans on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Debbie Morrison Home, Sawyerville. She was 93 years old. Daughter of the late Morton and Elizabeth Evans. She leaves to mourn her brother Franklyn (Jean), sister-in-law Beverly Evans. Predeceased by her brother Harrison, her sisters Frances, Glenna, Trudy, 2 nieces Patricia and Elizabeth Hewett, nephew Bruce Evans, brother-in-law Brian Hewett. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Hope was a long time employee of Johns Manville in Asbestos and Canadian Newsprint Association in Montreal. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Elliott Douglas, Sheila

 Passed away peacefully at the C.S.S.S Memphremagog on September 29, 2012, at the age of 84 years. Cherished wife of the late Robert Elliott and precious mother of the late Donald, the late David and Dale (Teresa). Adoring grandmother of nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Sheila will also be sadly missed by her sister Mary (the late Ralph), along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A graveside service will be held in the Apple grove cemetery on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 11:00 p.m. with Rev. Lise Kuzminska officiating

Ellis, William "Bill"

Peacefully at the Argyll Pavillon, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the age of 74. William ( Bill ) Ellis was the loving companion of Marguerite Dougherty and was the father of Patricia, Brian ( Esther ), George, Sandra ( Marsha ), John ( Tammy ). He leaves to mourn his sister Joyce , step-children Sue Pelley ( Bob ), Rick Cater ( Carole ) and Donna Bennett. The mother of his children Rose Mae Barney, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St, Sherbrooke, QC, on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 1 to 3 pm followed by the funeral service at 3 pm with Bill's daughter Patricia Ellis officiating. Interment in the St-Raphaël Cemetery Bury. Emery, Graham William

Passed away at the C.S.S.S. Memphremagog on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Pauline Gagnon and dear father of Christina (Leon) and his two sons Danny and Alain. Loving grandfather of Michael and Mathieu. Graham will also be sadly missed by his brother Burke (Shirley), many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, and  numerous friends. There will be visitation on Saturday, February 4, 2012, in the presence of his ashes at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough, Ayer’s Cliff where friends may visit from 12:00  to 2:45 p.m. followed by a celebration of his life. As a tribute to his memory, donations made to Diabetic Quebec, 8550 Boulevard Pie IX, bureau 300, Montreal, Quebec H1Z 4 G2 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
