Bédard, Raymond

1939 – 2017

Passed away at the CSSS Memphremagog on July 12, 2017 at the age of 78. Husband to Rhéa Boisvert and son of the late Florence Hamel and the late Wilfrid Bédard.

He leaves to mourn his children: Alain (Francesca Rossy), Lisa (André Fisette) and Lyne (late Normand Lapenna); his grandchildren: Constance, André-Jean, Amélie, Cody and Léa, as well as his sister Denise.  He also leaves his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to sincerely thank: Martha, Marie-Ève, Michel, Dr Guay, Father Gérard Ringette as well as the care givers at Grace Village, the CHSLD and the CLSC Memphremagog for the excellent care provided to Raymond.

Visitation will take place at the Cass funeral Home, 545, Dufferin in Stanstead, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 9 to 11:45 a.m.   Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at the Sacré-Coeur church in Stanstead.  Interment at the Mont-Sainte-Marie cemetery.

As a tribute to his memory, donations to the Baluchon Alzheimer Foundation, 10138, rue Lajeunesse, Bureau 200 ,Montréal, QC, H3L 2E2, would be appreciated by the family.


Brown Bradley, Myrle

(1919-2017)

Myrle passed away on June 16, 2017 in her 98th year. She was the wife of the late Wilbert (Al) Bradley and dear mother of : Allan (Cheryl), Marilyn (Robert) and Garry (Sue).
She leaves to mourn her sister Carol (Doug Garfat), Stan Brown (Pat), also her grandchildren: James (Taurie), Angela, Tara, Annika and Nicholas; her great grandchildren: Nathan, Madison, Jackson, Copper, Haley and Reed. Myrle was predeceased by her brothers Norman (Verian) and Alton (Mary) sister Vivian ( John Cox), granddaughter Laurie and her grandson Stephan. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and their spouses.
Visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Tuesday , June 20th, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Rev. Heather Thomson officiating. Interment in Huntingville Cemetery.
In memory of Myrle, donations may be made to the Huntingville Cemetery Association or to the Canadian Cancer Society.


Brus, Ben

1954 – 2017

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ben Brus at the CIUSSS Magog, on June 12, 2017 at the age of 62, son of the late William Brus and Bernardina Brus.

Ben leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters: Thea (Paul Hulshof), Henriette (Alain Lafaille), Margaret (Dale Hartley), Mary (Jacques Cloutier), Andre (Christiane Roux), John (Sylvie Boucher) and Willy (Shelley Hatch).  He also leaves many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

A private service will be held to commemorate Ben’s life.  As a tribute to his memory, donations to the Dixville home Foundation, 34, rue Queen, Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 1H9, would greatly be appreciated.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Palliative care unit at the Magog Hospital, all the care givers at Dixville Home, but most of all to the staff and friends of the Steven’s House in Stanstead who have given Ben love and a place he could call home.


Beauregard Macfarlane, Pierrette

1936- 2017

 Passed away at the Argyll Hospital, on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the age of 81.  Beloved wife of the late Donald Macfarlane (2013) formally from Stanstead. 

 She leaves to mourn her children Linda (Wally) and John (Jocelyne); her grandchildren Carl (Cathy), Kevin (Simon) and Alex (Alicia); her great grandchildren Jordan, Alyson, and Dylan; as well as her sister Lise (Philippe) and brothers Luc, Réjean (Gisèle) and Guy (Lori).  She is predeceased by her grandchild Rebecca and her brothers Yvon (Suzanne), Michel and Marcel (Diane).

 Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin Street, Stanstead, QC, where friends may call on Sunday June 4, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.


Blake , Ray

(1950-2017)

Passed away at the Asbestos Hospital on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the age of 67.
Son of Margaret Mastine Blake and the late Harold Blake. Brother of Jean Lasenba (Stan), Mavis Bushey (Brian) and Nancy Boucher (Steve). Ray is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at the St-Augustine’s Anglican Church, 72 Carmel St. Danville, QC on Tuesday May 9, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM followed by the funeral service at 2:30 PM. Interment immediately following at the Danville Protestant Cemetery.


Beamish Joyce, Beryl

1942 -2017

 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Beryl Beamish at the CSSS Memphrémagog, on April 18th, 2017 at the age of 75. She is predeceased by her husband Donald Joyce and her parents John and Evelyn Beamish.

Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, on Saturday, April 22 2017 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.  Interment at the Chrystal lake cemetery.

Beryl leaves to mourn her children: Ron (Pascale), Jennifer, Shannon (Brian) and Doug (Carrie); her grandchildren: Bob, Jayme, Ryan, Sophie, Seth, Adam and Sebastien as well as her great-grandchild Ryder.  She is survived by her sister Elaine and a special friend.

As a memorial tribute, donations to the Frontier Animal Society (Stanstead), 1 rue Bigelow, Stanstead, QC, J0B 3E5, or to the Pet Connection (Lennoxville), 1730 Wellington S, Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 1K9, would be appreciated by the family.


Beaulieu Bishop , Hélène

Passed away peacefully, at the Connaught Home in North Hatley, on March 20th, 2017 at the age of 87. Loving wife of the late Bruce Bishop. She will be sadly missed by her sister Louise Beaulieu and her niece Nathalie Beaulieu. Cherished stepmother of Gail Bishop (Paul Lindell), Judy Nesbitt (Ron Nesbitt) and Anna McCracken (Frank Lough). “ Nana “ to Tara, Kerrie, Casey, Niki and Amy. Great grandmother to Audrey, Marcy, Troy and Lucas.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Sandy Klinck and her extra ordinary nursing staff for their special care of Hélène and enabling her to live in her beloved North Hatley until the day she died. A special thank you also to Donna Barker and Gregory Bishop for their many kindnesses to “Tante Hélène).
Hélène has been cremated and a celebration of her life is being planned for a future date.

Bronson, Marilyn

1942 – 2016

 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Marilyn Bronson at the CSSS Memphremagog, on December 24, 2016 at the age of 74.  Daughter of the late Edward Bronson and Sylvia Bergstrand and dear wife to the late Bertrand Fauteux.

Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, on December 30, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.  A celebration of life will follow at the funeral home.

Marilyn leaves to mourn her dear children Lisa (Bruno), Danny (Stephanie), Mark (Manon), Tammy (Chris) and Natalie (Frédérick); her grandchildren Chelsea and Breanne Choquette, Marissa and Calistta Fauteux; Vanessa., Dominick and Cedric Fauteux; Kassandra and Jakob Auger; Mikaela and Danika Fauteux, as well as her great-grandson Derek Jacques.  She also leaves to mourn her brother Roger (Faye) and sisters Barbara (Allan) and Diane.  She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters Bobby, Gordon (Thérèse), Lois, Wallace (Julie) and Jo-Anne (Ivan).

Marilyn (Nana) to so many will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and mostly for her heart of gold. The family wishes to sincerely thank the Manoir de Stanstead and its caregivers for the wond erful care given to Marilyn.


Boynton, Gordon A.

(1924-2016)

Gordon Augustus Boynton, age 92, of Victoria Corner, NB, formerly of Bury, QC entered into the presence of his Saviour on Wednesday, December 7, 2016.

He was born in 1924, and was the son of the late George Boynton and Jane Marsh. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Edythe Stokes and his second wife, Evelyn Bowker; a grandson Gordon Boynton and his brother John (Peg).

Gordon is survived by his children, Roger of Thailand, Everett (June Belair) of Lennoxville, Que., Orma (David Bauman) of Ennis, TX, Mary (David Meed) of Victoria Corner, NB; grandchildren, Philip (Debbie Sylvester), Neal and Ashley Boynton (Kyle Comeau), Shekinah, Heaven and Gabriel Bauman, Naomi, Douglas, and Margaret Meed; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Faith, Jordan, Alexia and Emilia; great-great-grandson Jayden; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Sawyerville Baptist Church in Sawyerville, Que. on Monday, December 12th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 13th from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Michel Houle officiating. Interment will follow in the Bury Cemetery in Bury, Quebec. If so desired, donations can be made to New Brunswick Bible Institute, the Gideons, or the Sawyerville Baptist Church.

Beekers, Regina

Monday, November 7, 2016, at the age of 94, passed away peacefully at the Residence Camille Lefebvre, Lachine, surrounded by her loving family.

Regina Beekers beloved wife of the late Godfried Beekers and dear mother of Theresa, Fred (Danielle) and Diana (Joe). Regina was the cherished grand-mother of Jennifer, Micheal, Mindy, Cassy, Christopher, Mitchell and Martin, and of 7 great grand children.

Memorial tributes in Mrs Beekers memory can be made to the Quebec Lung association, 222-855 rue Sainte-Catherine Est, Montréal, QC, H2L9Z9.

A memorial service will be held at Cass funeral home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke, QC, on November, 18, 2016 at 1 pm. Father Doyon will be officiating.
