Blouin Perron , Florence Liza


March 24, 1929 – January 1, 2018
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Florence at the Asbestos Hospital in the early morning of New Year’s Day.  She was the daughter of late Arthur Blouin and the late Délima Roy and wife of Oswald Perron.  She was looking forward to January 2nd, when a gathering was planned to celebrate their 64 years of marriage.  She will be greatly missed by her husband and her eight children:  Gabrielle (Douglas Newman), Suzanne (Brian Fitzpatrick), Madeleine (Donald Kelly), Martha (Bill Clark), Jacques (Ann Davidson), Diane, Pierre (Annie Demers) and Maryse.  She was the grandmother of 10 grandchildren:  Kevin and Lisa (Marc Brennan) Fitzpatrick, Caroline, Angie and Alex Kelly, Philip, Ellen, Kathryn, Emilie and Benjamin Perron and great-grandmother to Jade Brennan.  She leaves to mourn her sister, Rachel (Harold Willey) and her brothers, Lucien, Georges (Estelle Fortier) and Raymond (Carole B. Robideux) , her sisters and brothers-in-law Jules and Irma Perron, Peggy Blouin, Alice Perron Hall and Liliane and Dick Verhoef as well as many cousins and friends.
The family will receive condolences at the Hall de Shipton (Former Danville Canadian Legion), 136 Grove Street, Danville, QC on Friday, January 5th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be at the Danville United Church, 43 Grove Street, Danville, QC on Saturday, Januaury 6th at 11 a.m. followed by internment in the Danville Protestant Cemetery.


Boire , Larry (Bernard Laurence)

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Larry, 61, who died December 16th at the Hotel Dieu in Sherbrooke. He was most precious to his wife Barbara (Hedges), and greatly cherished by his children Will (Lisa Liskovoi), Michael (Destiny Béland), Rebecca and Sam. He will be missed by his brother Paul (Monica Wong) Toronto, brother-in-law Philip Hedges (Christine) Sussex UK, cousins Trudy Munro, Toronto, Shelley and Joanne McDonald, California, and Aunt Donna Dermer, Kelowna. He leaves to mourn his close friends Doug and Marthe Broadbent, Don and Christine Doell, Dave and Carol McCormack, Stephane Souci, Wendy Hughes, Sandra Rundic and his colleagues at Wolters Kluwer. Larry was a proud member of the Lennoxville United Church choir, the Masons and the Cangro Investment Club.

We warmly welcome family and friends on Saturday, December 23rd, 2017 at the Lennoxville United Church, 6 Church St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), with visitation from 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00. A private family memorial service and interment will be held at the Malvern Cemetery in Lennoxville, Quebec in 2018.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Fondation du CHUS.


Browne Lachance , Grace

(1932 – 2017)

At the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, on December 15th 2017, Grace Browne passed away peacefullyat the age of 85. Cherished wife of  Jean-Paul Lachance.
Visitation will take place at the Notre-Dame-Du-St-Rosaire Church Basement (4, Randboro Road in Sawyerville) on Thursday December 28, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Friday December 29th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
She leaves to mourn her children: Michel (Julie), Pierre (Lorraine), David (Gaetane), Daniel and Richard (Marie-Claire); her grandchildren: Jonathan, Keven, Ian, Cedrick, Vicky, Christopher and Alex: 5 great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters: Roderick, Theresa (Stanley) and Astrid. She also leaves to mourn her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank the personnel at the Palliative Care of the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu for the excellent care given to their Mother.

Blouin , D. Jules



Passed away at the Asbestos Hospital on Wednesday November 8th 2017, Jules Blouin at the age of 75. Loving husband of Peggy Smith, and dear father of Lisa and Joyce (Dennis). Jules also leaves to mourn his 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, along with many brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Brown, Jennifer Louise

1946 – 2017

Jennifer Louise Brown passed away peacefully on October 14th, 2017 in Magog at the age of 71 years.  She was a loving companion to the late Irvin Cosgrove and a dear daughter to the late Verian McCoy and the late Norman Brown.  Jenny was a fierce fighter, a positive life-loving woman who touched and enriched the lives of countless people.  She was a creative and generous soul with a quirky sense of humour, who always seemed to know someone no matter where she went.

She will be profoundly missed by her loving daughter Robyn (Jarrod Tetreault); her cherished grandchildren Hannah and Grace; her stepchildren: Kelley (Rick), Tracy (Francis), Erin and Tara (Kevin); her brother Winston (Rosemarie Brown); her sisters Dianne (Eric White) and Faye (Roger Bronson).  She also leaves many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, and her beloved Café.

Visitation will occur at the Cass funeral Home, 900, Clough St, Ayer’s Cliff, QC, on Saturday October 21st, 2017 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.  A celebration of life will follow with Rev. Barb Wintle officiating.

The family wishes to give special thanks and express their gratitude to the caregivers of the Résidence Plein D’Amour:  Suzanne Cyr, Richard Riendeau and Marie-Hélène Guillemette, as well as to Diane Cyr at La Maison sous les arbres, for the excellent care given to Jennifer.  The family also wishes to thank the excellent staff at the CHUS Fleurimont and the CSSS Memphrémagog who always went above and beyond, and to the many friends who accompanied her during her 10 year battle with cancer.

Binney , Grace Helen


(Jan. 30, 1922 - Oct. 12, 2017)
Passed away peacefully at Hospice, Cornwall, Ontario. She
was the beloved wife of the late Albert Binney and
companion to the late Louis Gosselin. She is survived by
her children Larry (Kirsten), Marge (Steve), Sheila (Barry),
Eileen and Ricky (Christine) and predeceaesd by her son
Ronnie (Heather) and daughter Sherry. She leaves to
mourn 24 granchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great great
grandchildren and her dear brother Frank (Jeannine). Grace was predeceased
by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Family will receive condolences at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St.,
Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00
p.m. Funeral service and prayers will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at
2:00 p.m. at the Cass Funeral Home with Rev. Heather Thomson officiating.
Interment at Malvern Cemetery.

Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1K9 or to the SPCA in Stanstead, QC.


Bailey Lasenba , Virginia

1924-2017
Passed away peacefully at Hôtel-Dieu Hospital on September 24, 2017 at the age of 93. Daughter of the late Clayton Bailey and the late Agnes Fisher. Beloved wife of the late Albert Lasenba.
She is survived by her children: Janice, Richard (Geneveve), Roger (Marjo) and Gerri (Randy). She was predeceased by her son, Bob. She leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Amy, Trish, Mike, Jennifer, Robbie, Angel, Cindy, Steven, Tanya, Ryan and Stephanie as well as 17 great grandchildren.
Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 15 Station St. Sawyerville, where friends may visit on Thursday, September 28th, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Sawyerville Baptist Church, Friday, September 29th at 2:00 pm with Pastor Houle officiating. Interment will be in the Cookshire Protestant Cemetery.
Virginia’s family would like to thank the staff at Residence Camelia and the Hôtel-Dieu for the excellent care they provided.

Bradley , Margaret

(1956-2017)
Passed away on September 20th, 2017 at the age of 61. Beloved daughter of the late Douglas Bradley and the late Jane Cole. Margaret leaves to mourn her siblings, Tim Bradley (Diane Elsliger), Jane Cameron (James Cameron), and Peter Bradley (Linda Bradley), along with numerous nephews.

Bockus, David

1951 - 2017

Passed away peacefully at the CSSS Memphremagog on July 29, 2017 at the age of 65, formally from Stanstead.  Son of the late Roy Bockus and the late Mildred Beaucage.

David leaves to mourn his son's Jonathan, Ethan and daughter Natalie.  He will be missed by his brothers and sister, nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.


Buckland Sharman , Gladys

(1923-2017)

Gladys Arlene Buckland Sharman residing at the Grace Village in her 95th year passed away after a long fulfilling life.
Gram as she was affectionately known by all was an avid knitter, traveller and a baby rocker. Gram was always a fighter. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will remember her bear hugs and kisses and of course your feet will never be cold with those awesome slippers.
Beloved mother to Alan (Beverly), Brenda (Rodney Kent) and the late Rhonda. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Many thanks to all who had a part in her care and to the Porch Dollies may you always enjoy the sun on your face and the ice cream on your chin.  
As a long time resident of North Hatley, donations to the Massawippi Foundation, Box 2582, North Hatley, QC J0B 2C0, would be appreciated.  
A private family graveside service has been held.
