Book of Memories

When Auntie Lena and Uncle Stuart moved to Bishopton, I used to go and visit almost every day when I would get the mail. We had great visits and when she was alone Reuben and Anne-Marie would go with me. One memory they have is eating melba toast with butter and goat cheese. She was always appreciative when someone visited her. She always had a smile and made the best of every situation.

Barry and I would like to add a little memory to Aunt Lena's notebook. Around the year 1982, on a Christmas Eve, we were visiting Tom & Laura Lawrence (Barry's Mom & Dad) who lived in Bury, Quebec. We were living in Victoria, British Columbia and came home to spend the holidays with family. In the early afternoon, we decided to drive over to visit Uncle Stuart and Aunt Lena with Mom and Dad and our two daughters Laurie and Kelly. We enjoyed a delicious meal with them and shortly after ...
supper, Uncle Stuart asked us to go for a sleigh ride. Of course, we were delighted with that and once enroute, it started to snow. It was the most beautiful snow I had ever seen - big and fluffy.... We all sang some carols and enjoyed this beautiful ride with family back to Uncle Stuarts home. Aunt Lena was waiting for us with a delicious snack before we ventured in our car back to Mom and Dads. It was simply the most perfect Christmas Eve ever - thanks to Uncle Stuart and Aunt Lena for ...
making it so perfect. A true family Christmas... Love you both so very much and we will miss you both.
